Celina & Zachery first met in the first grade, having both attended Berkeley School Baguio.
Their memories during this time are a little hazy, but Celina remembers Zachery as a "very kulit boy who played at the basketball court a lot" and he remembers her as "a nice girl, also kind of a nerd"
He also vaguely remembers having a small crush on her at one point. Hehe.
2011ish - 2018ish

They stayed friends throughout high school and bumped into each other a lot due to her mom and his grandfather working in the same building. She'd be walking from school and he'd be doing tricks at the skate park. She may have had a small crush on him at this point.
Coincidentally, in around 2015ish, Celina & Zachery both ended up moving to Manila for school, and would continue to bump into each other quite often whether it was at Victory Liner Cubao (haha!) or the streets of Katipunan, where Celina and Zachery's cousins studied.
Between shy hi's and hello's and unfortunate timing, the typical pakipot girlie and torpe boy love story ensued. (Lol. Yikes!!)
The "Official" First Date!

After a mini reunion between old elementary friends and a few hours until the New Year, Celina insists something just *clicked.* They continued to exchange text messages amidst family reunions and weddings, and decided to go on a date on the 10th of January.
He picked her up, they held hands – palms sweaty from the nerves – they sat at Soup District, had some Pho and Kimchi Rice, and spent the rest of the day at Plakafe. Deciding then and there they were each other's (Sidenote: FINALLY!)

P.S. RIP Soup District and Plakafe. We miss you terribly.

Our days in Manila were filled with dates in Katip and exploring Sta Lucia, Feliz, Gateway, UPTC, etc.

The 2020 Lockdowns were tough. We went from seeing each other daily to strictly video calls. But we made it! Back in Baguio and being together again.

More trips out of town with friends & family, and achieving our dreams together - slowly but surely.

5 Years! Finally went on all the Baguio "uso" things we wish we had done together way before. Hehe.
Throughout these years, we had already dreamt of our wedding and the life we were going to build together. We knew what we wanted the reception to feel like, what our first dance would be like, what suppliers we wanted at the venue... It was crazy how soon we started talking about it. But it just felt right.
Many false proposals and jokes (c/o Zachery, duh) later....
It finally happened!
On August 15, 2024, after much persuasion on his side and much stubbornness to cooperate from hers (she wanted to sleep in!), with the beautiful Boracay sunset in the horizon, he popped the question and she said, "Yes!" and it was the most wonderful thing ever.
AND NOW WE'RE COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS 'TILL WE OFFICIALLY SAY "YES" TO FOREVER!
